J.C. Emmington lives in Cambridgeshire, and began writing fiction in earnest after winning a competition at the age of eight. More recently, her short stories have appeared in several prize-winning anthologies. She loves to root out real historical figures who have ‘fallen through the cracks’ and give them an authentic voice in her novels. Alongside her passion for writing, J.C. Emmington's work in museum services has taken many guises over the years – always with an emphasis on animating the past.
